| If your tooth has been damaged by tooth decay,
you may need a filling to restore it to its natural shape and
prevent any more damage being done. Before we begin your treatment
however, we’ll talk you through the process and explain
exactly what’s involved. We always aim to match
your filling to the natural colour of your tooth so it’s
discreet as well as hardwearing using white tooth-coloured fillings. In addition, we make every
effort to restore the damaged tooth back to its original shape.
Although your smile is very important to us of course, we
don’t just use white tooth-coloured fillings for aesthetic
reasons. Less of your tooth needs to be removed for a white tooth-coloured filling, compared to a traditional silver filling, making
treatment quicker and more comfortable.
White tooth-coloured fillings are made of naturally tooth-coloured
materials such as porcelain and because we have our own in-house
dental laboratory on-site, we can ‘match’ the
shade of your filling to the natural colour of your existing
teeth. Restoring your damaged tooth whilst complementing and
enhancing your smile!
